We Thank Thee Oh God For a Prophet

What an amazing man and prophet! We were taken by surprise to hear of his death Sunday night while flipping through the channels. I was very sadden by the news but felt a great comfort of peace knowing he was now reunited with his sweet wife, and that the church will continue to move on. The organization of the church is a testimony in and of itself to me that this church is true! No politics or interviews or "voting" who will be our next prophet and leader, compared to the selecting of the new Pope. We love this gospel and we love President Hinckley!

So Sad...

I have some sad news... Our fish that we've had since our wedding day died this last week, all 4 of them plus 1 more we just bought 3 weeks ago. I never thought I'd be sad about a goldfish dying, but they were over 4 years old and had been so much apart of our marriage. Lame I know, but Mya was just starting to enjoy them too... I think it was the stupid tank that killed them, they all died within 3 days of each other. We just bought a bigger tank shortly before Christmas and I don't think it was pumping enough oxygen in there... So now we have this nice new tank that's sitting empty on our counter. It makes me sad to not see them swimming while I'm cooking dinner. I think I'm going to write a complaint letter to the tank company... jerks they killed my favorite wedding gift! Just give me another week and I will be over it- hopefully. :)

Christmas

So I am finally getting around to posting Christmas pictures! Mya definately made Christmas more exciting this year. She loved everything from the tree and lights to the wrapping paper and gifts! Below are pictures from the Curtis family party. Their tradition is to have the kids take turns dressing up as Santa and it was Cayden's turn this year (my 7 year old double nephew) . He looked like a dwarf in the huge Santa outfit. It was hilarious! And his mom, Melissa, made quite the little

helper too. It was a lot of fun.

And now Christmas Day! Mya got a lot of fun gifts but her favorites were the ride/walk lion and her baby doll, oh and of course the wrapping paper! It took her forever to unwrap each gift because she had to examine each piece of paper. She was so much fun. Scott and I had a nice Christmas as well. It just comes and goes all too fast!!!
