Mason's 4 month check up

I know I am behind on my updates; one of these days I'll be caught up, but for now here's Mason's stats at his 4 month check up (since he will be 5 months tomorrow). Weight: 14 lbs 14 oz (50th percentile) Height: 25 1/2 inches (75th percentile) and his head circumference was also 75th percentile. I figured I better brag about him being this long while it last, because it may be the only time he is one of the taller kids his age! :) He is growing so fast and is so much fun!

Mason's 2 Month Pics

A big "thank you!" to Jamie for taking the pics; you are awesome!

In the words of Mya...

I have been wanting to write down all the funny things Mya has said lately, and figured what better place to save it than on our blog! So here are some funny quotes from my little 2 year old, most of which I have found are her translation of what I say to her :)

  • "Mom will you do me a favor? Get me my potty treat."
  • "Here Mom I will count for you. Go! 1-2-3..." This was when she wanted me to go pick up her toy she had thrown down the stairs.
  • "Oh Mason, you're just fine."
  • "I'm ready to talk!!!" This is after she has been sitting in time out.
  • Whenever we call her crazy, or silly, or funny, etc she responds "I'm not crazy I'm Mya Curtis DayLynn!"
  • My favorite: "Thank you for loving me mama."
  • "Hey, you don't talk to me like that."
  • "What the heck/freak am I doing?" haha This is usually when she is taking too long cleaning up her room
  • Mya will also yell out while driving every time she sees a temple (or church), a deer (including the fake one we see every time we leave the subdivision), every slide (which includes all the indoor slides at fast food restaraunts), or an airplane. If we do not quickly respond she will continue to yell it. We call her eagle eyes (of which she will respond "I'm not eagle eyes, I'm Mya Curtis DayLynn!")
  • She loves to sing and often does a fun remix of I am a Child of God with the ABC's and I Love to See the Temple...
These are just a few fun quotes that make me laugh and keep me smiling through the day...

I forgot one more story! A few weeks ago Mya was being a little stinker and pushing my buttons. After throwing her PB sandwich on the floor I sent her to timeout in the dining room, while I went back to the bathroom to finish getting ready. While putting on my makeup I could hear her singing as loud as possible, I am a Child of God. I couldn't help but laugh. It made me wonder if she was just being sweet or if she thought this would help her get off timeout any sooner. It was sweet, but she still sat on timeout for the full 2 minutes :)

Better Late Than Never!

I am now finally posting pictures from our trip to the zoo on the 26th of September. We only had 2 hours to cram everything in, but I think we made good time. Here's some fun pics of the exciting event...

Mya thought the monkeys were neat, but I was surprised she wasn't too thrilled with them either. Of course she loved getting her picture taken as often as possible.
Here posing with daddy to be as tall as the giraffes. I think she was surprised how tall giraffes really are.
I think Mya's favorite was the elephants, because we had such a good view of the baby elephant. Watch the cute video below of the baby playing in the mud hole right after being hosed clean. I must admit that little elephant was dang cute!

Posing with mom on the gorilla... Mya loves carousels, we go to the mall about every 2 weeks for her to ride the horsies. :)
Gotta have a pic with the cool lion drinking fountain!
Scott and Mya went on the fun little train ride...
While Mason and I waited. I thought I better take a picture of him for proof he was there with us. I didn't want to take him out of the stroller because he slept the whole time! It was a fun trip, but after the hurried 2 hours we were all tuckered out!
Mason loves to eat his fingers, especially two hands at a time! I can't believe how much he drools and slobbers everywhere!!!
I finally caught a big grin on camera. As soon as he sees me pull it out he always stops and stares. He is so much fun. I can't believe how big he is getting!

Blessing Day and Growing Boy

Mason Wade was given an awesome blessing by his Daddy on Sept 6th. Here are a few pictures documenting the special day...

My two handsome boys!
Proud Mom!
Our cute little family
Kind of smiling with Grandma Durfey...
4 generations on Mom's side
4 generations on Dad's side

You better believe it! It's that time of year again! GO UTES!!!
Mason has 3 different Utah onesies to rotate every Saturday through the football season :)

Little Wade just had his 2 month check up. He weighed in at 12 lbs exactly and 23 1/4 inches long, both in the 50th percentile. I checked back to compare him with Mya and she was only 9 lbs 11 oz at her 4 month check up! He is definitely a big boy compared to her! Here's a couple of cute pictures showing his cute personality...
He is so much fun. I am so blessed to have the 2 cutest kids in the world!
