Catching up!

So it's been a while since I've posted random pictures to show what we've been up to... These first couple pictures are Mya's first real experience playing in the snow back in January. She liked shoveling more than really playing in it. :)

What's that you say? You see two dogs? Oh that's right, Scott got him another blue tick hunting hound! The previous owner was practically giving him away so Scott "saved" him. Yes it's a boy (and neither dog is fixed yet!) and he's about the same age as Tess. They both will be 1 around May. We decided to name him Bolt (the previous owners just called him pup). I will admit he's been nice to keep Tess entertained, but it's twice the work for Scott!

Here's our cute little munchkin modeling her braided pigtails. She is so much and always makes us laugh. She is learning new words all the time, and is growing up so fast! She is learning to say her full name and it sounds so cute. Another current famous phrase of hers is, "I'm fine" when we ask her to do anything (ie change her diaper, eat dinner, wipe her nose, etc.) It's always, "I'm fine." :)

We are starting to potty train Mya and decided to buy her some princess panties to get her excited. She loved them so much we had to pry them out of her hands to give to the cashier to ring them up. So here she is showing off her new panties...

Well much to my tomboy surprise, my little girl is very much a princess! She loves playing tea party, and we do it at least once a day!
And yes she always sets a place for Daddy and makes him participate when he comes home from work! :)

Baby News and Mya's 2 year Pictures

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I just don't have the extra time I used to, to blog weekly! :) First things first- we had our ultrasound today and we are having a BOY! We are excited to have one of each and for the fact that so many people close to us our having boys about the same time! Scott is happy to have a hunting buddy too. :) I don't have any fun/cute pics to scan in :( The ultrasound tech is a really nice guy but he doesn't seem to care about the pictures, it's all about making sure the baby is perfect. He does record it on a VHS that picks up the conversation in the room so we can hear Mya say "Fishy!" while looking at the baby's heart. Mya was pretty funny at first but soon got bored and impatient with it. I'm just relieved that the baby is healthy. I have felt a lot more movement with him early on than what I remember with Mya. In fact the first movement I felt was not the typical "butterflies" but a good hard kick during sacrament 3 weeks ago! It took me a second to figure out what the sudden pain was but when he kicked again I just laughed and thought, "This kid is gonna be a soccer player!" :)

My sis-in-law Jamie took Mya's pictures a couple weeks ago. They turned out really cute, I just wish Mya would have smiled and looked at Jamie at the same time. :) These will let you see the many personalities of my 2 year old!

Mya loves to take pictures with her little camera. She will set her dolls and animals up on her bed then have a photo shoot. She will also demand for Scott and me to stand in certain places so she can take our pictures, it's so hilarious.

This is her evil eye that she will give on command. It's too funny but it becomes a little a creepy when she does it for too long!

Here are some family pictures we took at Christmas time before Scott's parents left on their mission that I haven't yet posted...

I don't like where she made Mya stand... it looks like she's Mitch's girl. Oh well. :) I will try to post some fun things in the next week or so!

Mission Accomplished- Hunting Tag Fullfilled!

My Scotty finally got his first animal after hunting for over
10 years, and boy was it a good way to start! He drew
out for the limited entry mountain lion on his first
submission! It was A LOT of work, but a big thanks
to Tee (and Mike) for the help with their dogs to get
this cougar treed! It was 6'8" and weighed 120lbs,
pretty average size but Scott was still thrilled-
especially since he got it with his bow. Good job
honey, I'm so proud of you (and also very grateful
this hunt is over! haha) Enjoy the pics!

Yes that's right!

Mya is going to be a big sister! :) As you can see from the t-shirt we broke the news to our families on Thanksgiving (it's hard to hide being pregnant while you're living with your in-laws) but I wanted to wait longer to officially announce it to everyone else. Just to clarify the shirt says, "Mommy's Got A Lil' (Turkey- which we used Mya's hand to draw) In The Oven. I am 14 weeks along and am feeling pretty good. My due date is July 11th and we are all so excited!

Christmas and Pictures!!!

I finally switched out the computers and downloaded 240 pictures that I'd been storing on my camera! So here's a few pics showing what we've been up to in December...

When Mya had a cold she was constantly getting tissues to wipe her nose. One day she decided Elmo had a cold too. She wiped his nose a few times and then decided to wrap him up in the toilet paper. I was busy doing laundry and when I realized how quiet she was I knew she was up to something. This is what I found with little pieces of toilet paper everywhere!!!

We went to the coolest Santa Claus that had real reindeer, and best of all no line!!! We walked right up to him and spent probably 15 minutes just talking and taking pictures.

Mya hated sitting on Santa's lap until his dog came up on the sleigh too. She sat and petted the dog forever. We were surprised she was scared to sit on his lap because that's all Mya would say when we'd say, "You want to see Santa?" she would reply. "Lap!" Every time we ask her to say Santa she says lap, it's too funny...
Petting the reindeer...

I took too many pics of the Durfey family party that I decided to only post two. Here's a shot of me and Mya with my Grandma Durfey.

After dinner and the nativity we have a great big dance. One of the songs was to the limbo. Mya just loved walking under the stick thinking she was so cool. It was a really fun party, except the fact my mom and dad weren't there since she was in the hospital :(

Mya's first gift for her b-day. She was so excited to unwrap it!
She loves the horse we got her :)
Posing with Daddy after they opened their gifts at the Curtis b-day party, where we celebrated 4 birthdays!
Trying to blow-out the candles. She would blow up instead of out so they wouldn't go out. It was pretty funny.

More birthday... We celebrated it with my family on Christmas Eve

Uncle Ren giving the girls a horsey ride :) Mya's shirt is off because she threw up! She acted better afterwards but she threw up 3 more times that night. Thankfully she was just fine for Christmas morning

Christmas morning opening gifts... Once she was done unwrapping one she would say "More!" before she even looked at her gift.

Yes that is a skirt around her head :)

Gotta love the "CHHHEEEESSE!" It's the same smile in every picture!

She loves her slide!
Posing with her bathtub baby...

Her cool easel that she loves to color on!

We finally took her last night to see the lights at Thanksgiving Point. She loved them :)
Christmas was so much fun with her this year. She has become quite the pro at unwrapping presents over the last week. We will be exchanging gifts with my family tonight so Christmas will finally be coming to an end!
