Blessing Day and Growing Boy

Mason Wade was given an awesome blessing by his Daddy on Sept 6th. Here are a few pictures documenting the special day...

My two handsome boys!
Proud Mom!
Our cute little family
Kind of smiling with Grandma Durfey...
4 generations on Mom's side
4 generations on Dad's side

You better believe it! It's that time of year again! GO UTES!!!
Mason has 3 different Utah onesies to rotate every Saturday through the football season :)

Little Wade just had his 2 month check up. He weighed in at 12 lbs exactly and 23 1/4 inches long, both in the 50th percentile. I checked back to compare him with Mya and she was only 9 lbs 11 oz at her 4 month check up! He is definitely a big boy compared to her! Here's a couple of cute pictures showing his cute personality...
He is so much fun. I am so blessed to have the 2 cutest kids in the world!

I'm a big kid now!

I forgot to mention in my previous post possibly the biggest recent news of all; Mya is potty trained! It took about 2 solid weeks but we all made it through in one piece and still smiling. :) I definitely would NOT recommend potty training with a 2 week old baby. I swear every time I would sit down to nurse, she would need to go potty! But it's all better now and I'm so glad I don't have to change two sets of diapers!

Here she is posing with her potty chart. I only had to use this for one week and she only had 3 accidents!

This was after she tried to put her panties on by herself. I had to take a picture because she was so proud she did it all on her own. I'm still trying to teach her the tag goes in the back! haha

What we've been up to...

MYA
Mya has been a very helpful big sister. She is so good to get me a diaper (or even better throw a dirty one away) and she loves to play/hold/snuggle her little brother...

She also found that baby Wade is fun to play dress up with. Look at the poor guy's face, doesn't it just cry"Mom make her stop!"
Here she is posing with Mason after she's put all her bracelets on his wrists- he does not look very happy. Pay no attention to Mya's unintentional middle finger! haha
Mya loves to play dress up with her jewelry and styling sun glasses. This is a daily routine.

Mya also insists every time I take a picture of Mason that she be in the picture too. She loves having attention and sometimes dislikes having to share my attention with the baby.

Mya also loves to play with her daddy, and anxiously awaits his return from work. Here's a fun little video of her playing baseball just before bed. We've been working on her swing and she's getting pretty good, much to my excitement. :) Notice how she "slides" and then dusts herself off each time. She is such the character and we love her so much!

One quick funny story about Mya that I wanted to write down before I forgot... The other day while Scott and I were talking, Mya came by us and said "Oh shit." We both gave each other an accusing glare, then I asked "Mya what did you say?" She quickly replied "Nothing." Then I repeated, "Mya what did you just say?" Then she smiled up at us and said, "Holy heck..." We both laughed under our breath and just left it at that.

Mason Wade
Our handsome little guy is getting so big!

He is still sleeping lots...
Mason loves his big sister. When we got home from church on Sunday he was still sleeping so I left him in his car seat, so Mya decided to cover him with all her blankets and read to him. He's lucky to have such a good big sister!

Mason loves his tongue! My sister once asked if I was worried of it drying out because he constantly has it sticking out, even when he's sleeping. :)
Mason with his cousin Haws, and below his new friend Beckett...

Little Wade's newest trick is smiling! It's still hard to capture a good one on camera, but we all love to talk sweet to him to get him to grin! (Again notice the tongue haha)

SCOTT
Has been a very helpful husband and good daddy. He loves to be greeted by Mya's big hugs and squeels when he comes home from work. He's even good to let Mya play with his hair- although I think he really likes to have his hair combed because it relaxes him :)
Scott is excited that the elk/deer archery hunts have started. Hopefully this is his year to get a big buck! We also just got back his Mountain Lion rug that he shot in January. It took Mya a while to not be scared of it, but here she is posing with a growl. :)

ShaRee
I am loving being a mom, and take all the hugs, kisses, and snuggling time I can get!

I also recently chopped 6 inches off my hair. This new short hair cut was due to me getting to use Mason as our baby's first name. When we were still bickering about boy names, Scott said he'd give me Mason if I cut my hair short. Of course I was smart enough to wait until the birth certificate had been filled out :)
Pretty short huh? This is the shortest I've ever been.

Our Family

My little brother's wedding was last Friday so we had fun taking lots of pictures...
The girls with my mom (missing Laura and the bride, Emily)

The big boys showing off their new little boys
And of course the happy couple :)

I hope you enjoyed this long old post! Now you know what we've all been up to!

HE'S HERE!!!

Mason Wade Curtis was born July 5th at 2:30 pm weighing in at 7 lbs 4 oz and 19.5 inches long. Labor/Delivery went really fast; I went from at 2 at 12:45 to pushing at 2:10 and he was here 20 minutes later. He did give us quite the scare though because the cord was wrapped so tightly around his neck it took him a minute and a half with a little CPR to get him breathing. Those few moments are so scary but what a relief it was to finally hear him cry! He is such a good baby, we love him so much. I will post more pics later, but here is baby Wade's first post- yes he goes by Mason or Wade :)

He was pretty pale due to the lack of breathing so they had to give him an IV :(

Our family of 4!

Proud big sister

Daddy had to do a photo shoot when we first got home; posing with a basketball and his Dwayne Wade shoes. :)

My cute little boy!
